DR. JANE PHEND

Dr. Jane Phend comes to us from Ohio, where she received her B.S. in Education from the University of Cincinnati on a full ride women's basketball scholarship. After finishing her first degree, Dr. Phend began teaching and coaching, incorporating her love of athletics to her students. It was there that her first trip to Japan planted a seed for her appreciation of Eastern Medicine and Culture.

After a few years of teaching, Dr. Phend went back to school to study Pre-Med and Civil Engineering Technology but it wasn't until she moved to Florida and experienced a life altering car accident that propelled her to continue her education in Oriental Medicine. In 2013, Dr. Phend graduated with her Masters Summa Cum Laude in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine and is a board certified licensed acupuncturist. Following her true passion in healing and helping others, Dr. Phend established and opened Essence Acupuncture in Lakeland in 2014 where she practiced a multi-level diagnostic approach to assess who we are as individuals and how your constitution, lifestyle, environment, nutrition, emotions and stress levels are causing imbalances in the energetics of your body.

Dr. Jane specializes in treating anxiety, depression, pain, digestive disorders, colds, upper respiratory issues, autoimmune conditions and more!  Her herbal background is in Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine utilizing  custom formulas for the treatment of internal medicine disorders. 

In addition to needles and herbs, Dr. Jane provides patients with lifestyle, diet, and movement advice.

Her mission for 2023 at Energetic Health Clinic is to assist people in the discovery and continued exploration of mastering practices that facilitate the possibilities for happiness and joy!
